次の英文を読んで,後の問いに答えよ。
Many foreign students are surprised by what they find in the American classroom. Some classes are conducted in the familiar lecture style, with a professor talking for an hour or so while students take notes, but many other classes are run in the seminar style, or a mixture of both.
In a seminar, dialogue is the key to the success of the class. Every student is expected to ask critical questions and to express original opinions on the topic. The professor may guide the discussion, but he might not take a position on which view is correct. In a seminar, class participation often affects a student's grade, though papers and exams are far more important factors in computing the grade.
